The "State of the World" is a special contest organized by PX3 (Paris Photo Prize) aimed at sharing significant global stories through the lens of photographers. It seeks to present uncensored news and eyewitness accounts, offering narratives that are not influenced by mainstream media or sensationalism. The contest emphasizes the power of photography in highlighting current and crucial issues worldwide. Selected works will be showcased in a curated exhibition in Paris and subsequently travel globally.
Thirty photographers will be selected by curator Hossein Farmani to participate in the "State of the World" exhibition. Each selected photographer will receive a cash prize of $200. The exhibition will be presented at the Paris Photo Prize in Paris and will also travel internationally.
The competition is open to photographers worldwide, aged 18 and above. Entries must be submitted as a photographic series consisting of up to 10 images sharing a common theme and a single title. Submissions are categorized by continent: Europe, Americas, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Arctic, and Antarctic.
