The Lucie Foundation Scholarship Program is dedicated to supporting both emerging and professional photographers worldwide. It aims to foster dynamic ideas that challenge and progress the art of still photography. The program encompasses various genres, including Fine Art, Photojournalism, and Documentary photography, supporting works that are original and compelling.
Winners in each category receive a cash prize, with professionals awarded $3,000 and emerging photographers $1,000. Additionally, winners are granted a $500 voucher for services at PICTO NYC. The Emerging Photojournalism/Documentary winner also receives a Sony A7M4 camera with a FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. All winners will be featured in a group exhibition at PICTO NYC, with subsequent exhibitions at House of Lucie Galleries worldwide.
The scholarship is open to photographers aged 18 and older from around the globe. "Professional" applicants are those who earn the majority of their income from photography, while "Emerging" applicants are students, those within the first five years of their photography career, or individuals who do not earn the majority of their income from photography.
