Overview

The Billboard Creative (TBC) is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that transforms the city's billboards into open-air galleries. Their mission is to democratize art by making it accessible outside traditional galleries. This annual show provides emerging, underrepresented, and mid-career artists a unique platform to exhibit work in high-traffic areas across LA. Past shows have been viewed over 82 million times and received major media attention. TBC’s exhibitions challenge the commercial nature of billboards by turning them into large-scale, citywide art installations.

Reward

Selected artists will have their artwork displayed on a Los Angeles billboard for four consecutive weeks. TBC covers all billboard production, mounting, and leasing costs. Three artists will also receive a $1,000 cash award each, regardless of selection for the exhibition. All selected works are professionally documented and promoted through media and a dedicated smartphone map experience.

Eligibility

This call is open to all international artists. Any artwork that can be converted into a digital image is eligible, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media. However, video and audio works are not accepted.
