Environment & Me
Overview
The Environment & Me Photo Competition 2025 is organized by the European Environment Agency to showcase how people experience and interact with the environment. This annual competition encourages photographers to reflect on environmental issues, personal responsibility, and the positive steps being taken across Europe. By sharing personal visual stories, the contest aims to highlight the connections between people and the planet. It supports photography that speaks to both environmental challenges and improvements. The competition seeks to inspire change through awareness and creativity.
Reward
They will award €1,000 to the best photo in each of the three categories. A Public Choice Award and a Youth Prize for participants aged 18–24 will each receive €500. Winning photographs may be featured in EEA communication materials and publications.
Eligibility
The competition is open to citizens of EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) who are 18 years or older. All photos must be taken in one of the eligible countries. Participants must own full copyright to the submitted material.
