Emerging Artist Prize
Overview
The scan.art Emerging Artist Prize is an international competition designed to recognize and elevate emerging artists from around the world. Building on the success of its first edition in 2024, which received nearly 2,000 applications from over 100 countries, the prize provides a significant platform for artists in the early stages of their careers. The competition supports diverse artistic media, offering professional opportunities such as exhibitions at prestigious fairs and gallery representation. scan.art aims to provide transparency, fairness, and career-building exposure to emerging talents globally.
Reward
The overall winner receives a €5,000 cash prize and a two-year gallery representation with Bakerhouse Gallery, one of Europe’s leading galleries. Winners in each category—Painting, Photography, Mixed Media, Drawing, and Digital Art—gain shared exhibition booths at Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt and World Art Dubai, along with online solo exhibitions on scan.art. Additionally, 30 shortlisted artists will participate in a group exhibition at Bakerhouse Gallery in Austria. All exhibition costs (shipping, customs, booth setup) are covered by the organizers, though travel expenses are not included.
Eligibility
The prize is open to emerging artists aged 18 and above from anywhere in the world. Artists at any stage of their early career—whether self-taught or formally educated—are encouraged to apply. The competition welcomes a broad range of artistic styles and disciplines.
