Overview

The Bourse de recherche curatoriale Martine Franck is a biennial fellowship established by the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in 2025. It aims to support emerging international researchers and curators in developing projects focused on the works of Martine Franck and/or Henri Cartier-Bresson, utilizing the foundation's archives. The fellowship encourages innovative and contemporary curatorial approaches, contributing to the renewal of perspectives on the photographers' oeuvres. The program is supported by the Fondation d’entreprise Linklaters.

Reward

The selected fellow will receive €7,000 to conduct research, curate an exhibition at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, and produce an accompanying publication. The fellowship includes access to the foundation's archives, research support, and mentorship. The resulting exhibition will be presented in the foundation's "Le Tube" space, with the publication produced in collaboration with a publishing house.

Eligibility

The fellowship is open to researchers of any nationality who are enrolled in or have completed a doctoral program, as well as curators who are enrolled in or have completed a relevant degree program. Applicants must demonstrate experience in research, publication, or exhibition and be endorsed by a professional in the field.
