The SEJ Annual Awards for Reporting on the Environment honor excellence in environmental journalism across ten categories. First-place winners in each category receive $500 and a trophy, while second-place winners receive $250. All first-place winners are automatically considered for the Nina Mason Pulliam Award, which includes a $10,000 cash prize and up to $2,500 for travel, registration, and hotel expenses to attend SEJ's annual conference.
The competition is open to journalists worldwide. Entries must be stories published or broadcast between May 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025. Books must have a 2024 copyright year.
