Awards for Reporting on the Environment​

The SEJ Annual Awards for Reporting on the Environment honor excellence in environmental journalism across ten categories. The awards aim to recognize outstanding stories that shed light on critical environmental issues. The competition is open to journalists worldwide, emphasizing the importance of environmental reporting in today's media landscape.

First-place winners in each category receive $500 and a trophy, while second-place winners receive $250. All first-place winners are automatically considered for the Nina Mason Pulliam Award, which includes a $10,000 cash prize and up to $2,500 for travel, registration, and hotel expenses to attend SEJ's annual conference.
